Organic Brown Rice
Whole Grain Organic Rice
Add more quality whole grains to your meals with Carolina® Organic Brown Rice. Certified USDA Organic, these rice grains are Non-GMO Project Verified and made with no added preservatives or MSG.
This rice is also suitable for a wide variety of diets as it is Gluten Free, Kosher Certified, vegan and vegetarian.
Brown Rice vs White Rice
In contrast to traditional White Rice, 100% whole grain brown rice has its cereal and bran layer still intact which gives it that signature brown color and unique flavor. This means it cooks up with a fluffy, slightly chewy texture and subtle nutty flavor, where white rice has a neutral flavor.

How To Cook Organic Rice
Our organic brown rice can be cooked over the stove, in the microwave, in a rice cooker, Instant Pot and more.
To cook your rice traditionally over the stove: In a saucepan, bring 2 ½ cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. Stir in 1 cup of rice, cover, reduce the heat to simmer for 45 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
*1 Cup of uncooked rice yields 3 ½ cups cooked rice.
Learn how to cook our rice in the microwave in the preparation tab to the left. To cook your rice in a kitchen gadget, make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Flavor Tip: To add more natural flavor to your rice, swap out the cooking water for homemade broth or stock, or season the cooking water with fresh herbs and oil.

It’s also a hearty addition to rice salads, lettuce wraps, soups or a skillet Spanish brown rice. It can also be used in fried rice! For quicker dinner options, use kitchen gadgets like in this Instant Pot Arroz Con Atun, or rice with tuna.
